How do I get the Instagram Reel URL?
In the Instagram app, open the Reel, tap the paper-plane share icon and choose Copy link. On a computer, open the Reel in your browser and copy the address from the address bar. The link looks like instagram.com/reel/ followed by a code. Paste it into Hear2Text; you do not need to download the video first.
Can I transcribe Instagram Stories?
No. Hear2Text cannot fetch Stories from a link, even public ones. If the Story is yours, save the video to your phone from Instagram before it expires, then upload the file to Hear2Text. Any video up to 500 MB and 6 hours long can be uploaded that way.
Does it work with private Instagram accounts?
No. Only posts that anyone can watch without logging in can be fetched from a link, so Reels from private accounts fail. If you have the video yourself, for example because it is your own post, download it to your phone or computer and upload the file instead. Uploads work for any audio or video file up to 500 MB.
Can I create SRT subtitles for my Reels?
Yes, on the paid plans. Monthly ($9.99) and yearly ($89.99) subscribers can export SRT and VTT caption files with a timestamp on every segment, ready to upload to a video editor. The free plan exports plain TXT only. Hear2Text does not burn captions into the video itself, so you add the SRT file in your editing app before posting.
How do I handle Reels with music?
Speech over quiet background music usually transcribes well, but loud music under the voice lowers accuracy, and sung lyrics transcribe poorly. Hear2Text does not remove music or extract lyrics. For the best result, use the original voice recording if it is your Reel, and read through the transcript in the browser editor to fix any words the music covered.
Can I transcribe Reels in different languages?
Yes. Hear2Text recognises 100 languages and detects the spoken one automatically, so you never pick a language before transcribing. On clear audio accuracy reaches up to 99%.
