Transcription itself covers 100 languages and detects the spoken language automatically, so you can transcribe a recording in one language and translate the transcript into another from that list.
How accurate is AI transcript translation?
It is machine translation, so check it before you use it. It reads naturally for most everyday speech, meetings and lectures, yet it can miss idioms, names, jargon and tone. It also depends on the transcript: if the audio was noisy and the transcript has errors, the translation carries them over. Have a fluent speaker check anything before you publish it or rely on it legally.
Are timestamps kept when I translate a transcript?
Yes. Translation runs segment by segment, so every translated line keeps the start and end time of the original line and stays tied to the same moment of the recording. The downloadable files, including SRT and VTT, are exported in the recording's original language, so there is no separate translated subtitle file today.
Can I translate one transcript into several languages?
Yes. On the Monthly and Yearly plans you can add several target languages to the same transcript, for example English, Spanish and German for one interview. Each language is translated from the original transcript, not from another translation, and each one keeps the original line timing. You do not need to upload or transcribe the recording again for every language you add.
Can I download translated subtitles as SRT or VTT?
Not as translated subtitle files. SRT and VTT exports, available on the paid plans, are generated in the recording's original language with timestamps on every cue. The translation is saved with the transcript line by line, each line keeping its original timing, but there is no translated SRT, VTT, Word or PDF download today.
Is translation included in the free plan or the subscription?
Yes, on the paid plans. Translation is included in the Monthly plan at $9.99 and the Yearly plan at $89.99, with no per-word or per-language fee on top. It is not part of the free plan, which gives you 120 transcription minutes every week with TXT export. You can transcribe for free first and upgrade when you need the translation.
