Transcribe X (Twitter) Videos to Text
Paste the link to a public video on X (Twitter) and get a timestamped transcript in minutes. Edit it in your browser, ask the AI assistant about it, and export it. The free plan includes 120 minutes every week.
Transcribe Twitter Video
Paste a Twitter URL to start
Free plan: 120 minutes every week. No need to download the video first.
Copy the post link, get the text
On X, open the post, tap the share icon and choose Copy link; on the web you can also copy the address from the browser bar. Both x.com and twitter.com links work. Paste the link and Hear2Text fetches the video itself, so you do not have to download it first. You get the spoken words as text with a timestamp on every segment.
Start TranscribingWhat works, and what does not
Link fetching covers public video posts on X, one video per link. Protected accounts, Spaces and posts that need a login cannot be fetched; if the video is yours, upload the file instead, any common format up to 500 MB and 6 hours. Accuracy depends on the audio more than on X: a presenter at a microphone comes out cleaner than a phone clip at a loud event, where music and crosstalk cause mistakes you should fix in the editor.
Start TranscribingVideos in any of 100 languages
You never pick a language: Hear2Text detects it automatically from 100 languages, so a video in Spanish, Japanese or Arabic is transcribed in that language. On the paid plans you can then translate the transcript with AI; SRT and VTT captions export in the spoken language. Check names and slang in the translation before you quote it.
Start TranscribingAsk questions about the video
Once an X video is transcribed, ask the AI assistant about it in plain words: what the speaker claimed, where a topic came up, or how the argument was built. It answers from the transcript, so you can check every answer against the timestamp. The assistant is part of the paid plans.
- Summarize a long video in a few lines
- Pull out quotes with their timestamps
- Read the tone of what was said
- List the people, brands and topics named out loud
How to transcribe an X video
From a post link to an editable transcript, in four steps.
- Step 01
Copy the post link
Open the post on X, tap share and choose Copy link, then paste it above. The post must be public.
- Step 02
Let it transcribe
Hear2Text fetches the video, detects the language on its own and writes the transcript, usually within minutes.
- Step 03
Review and edit
Read along with the timestamps and fix names, handles or slang the AI misheard.
- Step 04
Export the text
Download TXT on the free plan, or SRT, VTT, Word and PDF on a paid plan.
Who uses it
Anyone who needs to quote, search or reuse what someone said in a video on X.
Journalists and News Analysts
A reporter transcribes a politician's video statement on X, pulls the quotes with timestamps and checks each one against the clip before filing.
Social Media Managers
A social media manager turns the brand's own X video into captions, a blog recap and quote cards, starting from the transcript.
Newsletter Writers
A newsletter writer transcribes the X videos they want to cite, so they can quote the speaker accurately and find each line again by its timestamp.
Researchers and Academics
A researcher studying public discourse transcribes a set of public X videos one link at a time and codes the text instead of rewatching every clip.
What you get
Public X Videos, Not Spaces
Any public video post on X can be transcribed from its link. Spaces and videos from protected accounts are not supported.
AI Summaries
On the paid plans, AI summaries turn a long video into a short overview, and the assistant answers questions about any transcript.
Keep the Words of a Post
Paste the link to an X video and keep what was said as text, with a timestamp on every segment.
Speaker Labels
Speakers are labelled Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on, on every plan, which helps with panels, interviews and debates clipped to X.
Free Every Week
Transcribe up to 120 minutes every week on the free plan and export TXT. Paid plans are unlimited within fair use and add SRT, VTT, Word and PDF.
