On the website you pay by card through Stripe. In the iOS and Android apps, the subscription is bought and billed through the App Store or Google Play.

Yes. You can switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel and go back to the free plan, whenever you like. A subscription bought in the app is changed in the App Store or Google Play.
Payments made on the website can be refunded within 14 days; write to support. Subscriptions bought in the App Store or Google Play follow that store's refund policy, so the request goes to Apple or Google.
No. Shared workspaces are free on every plan, the free plan too, and there is no per-seat price or member limit. Each person uses their own account: whoever uploads a recording uses their own minutes, and paid features follow their plan.
No. There is no education or nonprofit discount, and the price is the same for everyone. The free plan, 120 minutes every week with no card, is open to anyone.
